Re: Annoying clipping Ableton problem! (Beginner's troubles!
Just for the record, I don't have any little conspiracy theories. Only grandiose ones that involve an army of tiny robots that have invaded my kitchen. They have set up a perimeter around the microwave and are firmly entrenched in the toaster. I am pretty sure thier plan is to completely occupy my k...

Re: your ITB tracks
GS member Whatupdoe? has stated several times on that forum that his entire first otb set up cost less than a 909. I have forgotten who he is now but he is a known entity from Detroit and his stuff sells.

Re: Equipment - Bag - Flight....???
only downside I see in this bag is the width. (vinyl-size + 2 side-bags) doesn't make much difference in this case, it still stays the same width whether you carry it in your hands or have it on your back. but you're right, we're total savages here compared to North America... Techno can be made with an MPC and a crappy old $100 effects unit. Its not a requirement to have a ton of compressors and other hi end gear. That's just bullshit. Shitty sounding techno can be made with an MPC and a crappy old effects unit sure We have moved on since 1928 and fidelity overall has i...

Boxes... Some boxes are shiny and new... Other boxes are dull and grey... Some boxes have lots of knobs... Others have none... Some people have but only 1 box... Other people have several boxes... Some boxes work by themselves... Other boxes can only do a thing or 2... Sometimes people connect some ...

Re: your ITB tracks
Sure you can make some techno on almost anything. But, I definitely wouldn't be able to get good results with just an MPC and a cheap FX unit (and where do your sounds come from anyway if you own nothing but a sampler?). Maybe this is just a case of personal preferences? Maybe its that you just don...

Exactly my point. I would rather listen to a good piece of music.Wiu wrote:Well I think I'd rather listen to some well done 1928 low quality Techno over some of the over produced high fidelity 2015 shit that's released today. A great track will sound good regardless of what it's been produced on.

Please provide us with a list of required gear to make "good sounding techno" then. Thank-you.Lost to the Void wrote: Shitty sounding techno can be made with an MPC and a crappy old effects unit sure

I'd like to tell you I've been waiting months on end for the exact time to use it but that would be a lie. Truth is I googled the words "in the box track" 30 seconds before I posted it... Sorry to disappoint.Ttinga wrote:How long have you been waiting to use that picture Unit?

only downside I see in this bag is the width. (vinyl-size + 2 side-bags) If you're inside a stuffed metro, people will bump into your backpack. In North America its common courtesy to remove your backpack if you are on transit so as to not wack other people with it while you move around. Bunch of E...

Re: Ableton 9 – How are you getting on? [ Recycled Thread]
I guess the main things that made me want to upgrade were Max4L is included as well as Robert Henke's Granulator instrument. More recently he released a program change Max device too. Super useful...This should be standard in a DAW not an add on. What else? It went to 64 bit? Not sure how much I ent...

Re: Roland TR8, Korg Volca & Arturia Minibrute Got Touched T
On a related matter there is now a thread up on GS about Roland releasing an Aria modular system of some sorts... A GS member spotted it on Roland's FB page last nite. Likely to be announced at MusikMesse. From the pics it looks like a 3 space rack of sorts. No keyboard tho... It will be interesting...

Re: Roland TR8, Korg Volca & Arturia Minibrute Got Touched T
I remember when the MC-303 was released. My friend and I went down to see it. Made a special trip. It looked like a toy and we laughed. Oh how we laughed...Hahaha....but it was that empty hollow laugh...because Roland fucked us and didn't even have the decency to give us a reach around. Hahahaha..ha...
