Re: What effect filters low on the mixer
IMO. In the first video there are 3 channels playing after the low cut. He does tweak the eq on the other channels a bit. Maybe that is where the extra lowend comes from ? Maybe some light reverb effects too. Just guessing, I have no experience with mixing and dj sets :p

Re: Machinedrum SPS-1 UW+ mk2
Allright, thanks for all the great comments and advice, guys, you're great! I wanna ask another question here, so that I won't make an overflow of threads, it's about hardware so it's still kinda on-topic :P I have some external hardware effects , and I want my Ableton to have an external audio effe...

Re: reference tracks, suggestions?
I would play some tracks I know in the deepest details. So I know when something sounds "off".
For low end I like to play Jah Power Dub by Mala.
And for the rest I play some System of a down and Jimi hendrix.
It doesn't have to be techno to reference ^^

Re: Machinedrum SPS-1 UW+ mk2
It's definitely got a sound of it's own. For that price you can buy, try & ship on if you dont like it. For sure. Straight out of the box it can sound very synthesised.. Totally unlike the roland stuff, which is why it's good to have the best of both worlds getting the UW. I think it really comes a...

Machinedrum SPS-1 UW+ mk2
Sup guys This question could've been asked before on these forums, but I couldn't find any threads, so here it goes :D ! I recently decided to expand my studio a little bit and buy some hardware. My eyes fell upon a Machinedrum SPS-1 UW+ mk2 which is in mint condition. Dude's price is 800 euro. I do...

Re: Microtiming for dif. elements
Goodmorning, just arrived at the office, time for a post :P I mostly keep the kick straight on the grid. For the rest of the elements I mostly use the mpc groove pool. If I don't find any nice grooves in the Ableton library I just put the elements in manually, depends on the track. This takes some t...

Thank you, had some difficulties doing the mixdown. I only can use my Beyerdynamics closed cans at the moment, so low end is a quite tricky.Dust Layer wrote:It seems to be well produced, clear mix.

vasQ - Hold the line
Hi guys, I'm reasonably new to these forums. I've been lurking around since january this year and decided to join the cummunity. I didn't have much time to actively contribute that much because of finishing school and trying to get a job. But I finally found one, and I'm looking forward to spend mor...

Re: I just lost all my songs to a computer crash...
Happened to me too mate, I even lost 120 euros on samples because for some reason beatport won't let you redowload it :( Don't let this set you back! It's happened 3 months ago, I already have 50-ish projects on my pc now :P Oh yea, maybe look at an external harddrive(60 eur) or a NAS server (120-is...

15 tracks on average without fx.
I don't know why, but I allways need 5ish tracks when I insert effects.
And then you have some return tracks too...

Re: Heavy bass music EQ on sub / kick
i this Rrose track unless has a great low end, both kick and bassline are so clear.. i think bassline is not sidechaied and is sounding at the same time than kick.. and still both are so powerful. THis is what i asking for. Well I have a nice little trick to do this. Maybe it's against all the rule...
