Re: Interesting TV / Shows To Watch.
Has anyone here been watching the new Twin Peaks reboot? I'm curious about your opinions. So far I've watched three episodes and loved it, but I'm such a David Lynch fanboy I can't be considered objective at all. I'm happy they didn't try to recreate the atmosphere of the original series but opted f...

That's 'Kommand' by Chris Stanford & Dax J. Be sure to check the AnD remix on the same release, I prefer it to the original: https://www.discogs.com/Chris-Stanford- ... se/3756909

Re: track id's
Hey guys, I dug deep. Real deep. And I came across this mixtape with only 1200 views. No tracklist. This music is absolutely banging though and I would love to get to know the artists and producers on this tape. Music sounds like it's from mid/late 90s or something. Are there any 90s techno fans he...

Re: Recommend me some recent Acid/Ravey tracks
You should check the whole Power Vacuum catalogue: https://powervacuum.bandcamp.com/
And Jerome Hill's mixes are also great for ravey acid, plenty of recent stuff there but some oldies as well:

Sets from local DJs
I think it's quite sad but very apparent that these days you can't really get any attention outside your own local scene if you're primarily a DJ and not a producer. So I'm proposing a thread to celebrate your local DJ talent who don't get heard as much as they deserve. No self-promotion! I'll start...

Re: Rant about Greece and politics in the so called techno s
And what is most shocking for me is how countries like sweden, denmark or finland, countries who supposedly care more about people than in other countries, accept this kind of blackmailing the eurogroup is doing to the greek people. Even though we have a nordic welfare state model in Finland (built m...

Re: You going to some Festivals?
Going to Norbergfestival in Sweden and Berlin Atonal in the summer. Hopefully to Unsound in Poland in October if I manage to get tickets. Heard good things of all of them and the lineup announcements so far for Norberg and Atonal are looking good. And there's one interesting festival here in Finland...

Re: What Podcasts/Mixes are you subscribed to?
Electronic Explorations, Erratic, PoleGroup. And Surgeon's radio shows on Rinse fm are great (which all of you probably know already). Recently I've really liked Secret Thirteen, they do lots of unique and unusual stuff. Mostly non-techno but recommending it anyway.

Re: techno with melodic breaks
Thought of this Mondkopf track, it's kind of similar with the melodic break in the middle. Not as uplifting as the JoeFarr track, more of an euphoric comedown-melody in this one.

Re: What are some good labels?
3TH Records has some really promising stuff, one of my recent favourites. Also Repitch Recordings, which is run partly by the same guys (D. Carbone and Ascion are involved in both).

Re: Cassette 'Fad'?
This is so fucking annoying if you happen to like noise music and power electronics. Some of it is released only on limited cassettes, no digital, no vinyl, no cd. Seems like the artists don't want their music to be heard (kind of makes sense noise being in question). What makes things even worse is...

Is this offer still valid?Lost to the Void wrote: If you buy a copy and want more music, send me a picture of yourself with the vinyl and I will send you the 2 other tracks that were meant for this ep, but we had to drop them to make room for the remixes.

Obscurum/Mugon/Iesope Drift etc.
Absolutely love this stuff. Cold, dry and abrasive. Reminiscent of some early Birmingham stuff by Regis & co, but for me these are even better. The obvious classic being this: 2aXkDOnj2Bk And some personal favourites snXekPDIniE vUZdXZ09xuM 52R1pPEDVSk It's a shame most of the records are so rare an...

I'm actually a bit surprised there isn't more of us as the techno scene here has been growing quite rapidly the past few years.

Hi! I'm Tuomas from Finland. Been DJing and organizing techno parties in Helsinki since 2010 and during the last year have started producing as well even though I rarely seem to have time for it. I have gotten a lot of solid advice browsing this forum, I'm happy it exists! Figured I could start post...
