The paste option doesn't work here with the version shared by Planar.

Re: kill your darlings
Do you follow Hades on Soundcloud? He's posted a few bits up there, but I don't recall him advertising the fact on here. His music is good; it's complex, which I admire. I agree, his ambients are ridiculous. https://soundcloud.com/hades/the-echospace-of-god Wow! Fucking great! If I did this stuff h...

I'm on the opposite front. When i force myself to finish anything, in the 95% of the case, i'm not very happy with it. I think the most important thing is to be satisfied with your work. Listen to the track in 1 week, 5 months, 2 years and think "fuck, what a track!" If you can't finish your work, i...

Re: >>>> Rate my Mixdown <
Hey day.one! I like the way it developed toward the end. Nice and delicate. However I feel there is too little going on at first. Then the hh is mixed too low. I think it should spark a bit. Maybe with some reverb and delay to add some depth. The open hat is also too low and I'm sure I like the fil...

I'm trying to put into practice many of the excellent information i'm finding here in the forum. I don't quite know what i'm doing. I read and try, read and try. I apologize for the various crap I do and i write. Now i work just on a kick+bass to understand their relationship and learn how to make t...

Re: What Monitors / Headphones do you use?
The perfect solution does not exist. Perfect monitors don't exist just like you will never get a room to sound perfect no matter how much you spend on acoustic treatment (I mean with all the money Genelec have one of the things they do is take speakers out into the garden and do listening tests). W...

This: "It's not bigger room = bigger woofer, because you always use nearfields by sitting close, it is smaller room = smaller woofer." + This: "So my point is, ignore the woofer size, just listen to the speakers and make your decision this way. Really pay attention to the mid range, this is where yo...

Re: What Monitors / Headphones do you use?
Appreciate the replies guys. Thank you. No worries thats what we're here for. Steve is right, monitors are probably the most important part of your studio, buy the best you can afford. Every time I've upgraded my mixes have improved exponentially. 1k tends to be the entry level for good ones, I had...

Re: What Monitors / Headphones do you use?
Don't know about the Alpha range the regular CMS65 are great. These Alpha's seem to be lower range. As for Adams I love em, A7x is an excellent monitor, very truthful. But is apples and oranges, you really need to hear them yourself, its subjective. Go to a shop and try the ones in your price range...
