@Lost to the void
I get good result following your technique. The low pass ladder tips is awesome, thanks mate ! I don't know what is exactly a low pass ladder, I should !
@rktic
NastyDLA is only x32, I run x64.
But I'll try it that week and share my results with you.

Re: Larsen style distortion
rktic, not exactly what I'm looking for.
Have you heard the sound from the link I've posted ?
I think it's more about the saturation. It might be a type of saturation with feedback, but I don't know what it could be.

Larsen style distortion
Hi guys ! I've tried to make some good larsen for a while, but haven't got any decent result... Listen to it : http://www.tsugi.fr/news/2015/02/06/exclu-good-woman-jon-convex-8915 It begins at 3:58 precisely. It sounds like a distorted flute, so I've started with a square. It has just the right amou...

Re: Sampling technique
That's a lot of good ideas! I'll defenitely try to put an arp which I tend to forget sometimes... Also, thank you willemb for the summary even if it sounds unuseful for some people there's some good advices and I find it useful for me, and likely for others. I get good textures by stretching audio a...

Re: Sampling technique
Okay I'll go with that ;) I propose to open a discussion about sampling technique, it's very promising! Some artist makes really complex textured instruments with sampling :shock: several times I heard multiple samples used just as one instrument, I guess it's better to layer samples on different pa...

Re: Sampling technique
Thank you but I knew it
What could be the sample used to make that moody sound? Otherwise, what kind of sample to get a moody sound?
I tried to put some stabs and pads in sthe simpler but never get any pleasent result to my ears.

Sampling technique
Hi guys! I've never really used sampling technique but I've always been a fan of the sounds artists made with it. I like hip hop more and more due to artist like Flying Lotus, I ksaw videos on youtube showing how to get that kind of J Dilla's sound with samples of old school funk music. I really lik...

Re: These pad are awesome!
Hades thank you for your advice, what you've written is quite interesting and full of good tips. Does the old synth-a-holic recommend the young techno-adept not to buy synth because it's to strong for him? :lol: I know today DAWs and VSTs are enough powerful to get good results. I'm just a young man...

Re: These pad are awesome!
Thanks all! I agree with you Senko, so the best answer is that I need to practice, I knew it, but I was just hoping a miracle like if someone would lead me to something that I've never tried before... That is because I don't have time to create music since buy my monitors this summer and it's damn f...

Re: These pad are awesome!
tsurani yeah this one's great https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-6Wcoq7vZY , probably the best I've found. I love that sound, but it you admit that it lack of character compared to the record. If you have any other good ones, feel free to share them. For the anecdote, I met Antigone at a sound engine...

Re: These pad are awesome!
Yes I've seen that comment, not me though! ICN yeah sure it's a good way to make a driving beat. But in my opinion it's about the character of the sound, deep and soulful. Deeper that a saw pad made from operator with a 24 lp a bit of saturator and maybe some reverb! If you have tips & tricks operat...

Re: These pad are awesome!
Have you listened to it? I am considering buying an Juno synth because I heard great pads on it, and I love the chord memory function :D What do you think is best between the alpha juno and the juno 6 for making great pads like these? I heard that the DCO of the alpha juno makes it sound more clean ...
