Re: Tektrasense - Trinity
Thanks SHIDZO, I guess it's a matter of taste then. The track could use some more modulation for sure, that's an important aspect of music production I need to practice more. And I guess that I could push the bass a bit more, but I didn't want to take the risk to go overboard.

Re: Tektrasense - Trinity
The acidic sound and the 'fax machine/computer' sound come from the same reaktor blocks ensemble. I thought that the irregular time signature pattern of the latter sound would break the repetitiveness of the rest of the elements, but I agree that it does not really add something of interest to the m...

Re: Tektrasense - Trinity
Thanks for your fast response dubdub. I always cut my low end at 35Hz, I've read this once somewhere on the net that you don't need the frequencies below 35Hz, maybe it's the slope setting of the hpf I'm using, I've set it on 48Db/octave, that's probably too drastic, ending up with cutting too much ...

Tektrasense - Trinity
Hey guys, Just finished another track, I've spent more time on the mix with this one but I must say that I've had troubles again getting the kick right, it seems not easy for me to get the low end powerful enough while trying to maintain a punchy kick, hopefully I'm going in the right direction with...

Re: Módulo Mental
Powerful low end, nice sound production/selection (especially that screaming lazer squelch). The ping pong delayed effect doesn't bother me when the mix is more dense, maybe you could use the effect only when more sounds are playing at once?

Re: dubdub - big kick and slow filtered multitap delayed cho
I like the tempo, not quite used to listen to dub techno at this bpm. I also think it could use a boost on the sub frequencies. And maybe you could fade away the chords over time and replace them temporary by new floaty elements and let them come back in to keep intrest. Although I understand that t...

Re: 'Mr Tubbs' - Jordanneke
Played this track over my studio monitors, there is a lot of oomph in your kick drum, sounds fat, not going overboard imo! The balancing of your percussion is also neatly done, love the groove.
And I also want to point out that this track deserves to be released.

Re: Tektrasense - Artificial
Thanks for the effort, guys. I gave it another listen in the studio while comparing it to a reference track, and yes, there something missing in the low end for sure. The reference track makes my pants tremble, as my own track does not. I've highpassed the first synth fairly high up the spectrum, I ...

Re: QUASAR by EKT
The track has a nice progressive/trancy vibe, I like the combination of the rising/falling melody with the melody of the bass. I'm not sure about the synth coming in after the vocal, for me it gets too trancy, but that's just general preference. It fits with the rest of the elements though. I think ...

Re: Tektrasense - Artificial
My intention was to use the bass pattern as upper bass rhythm layer and let the kick punch fully trough. But as the kick sits too high, it cannot do the job properly. When I compare the track with a reference track, I also notice some frequency content lacking in the bass. As for the stereo field, s...

Tektrasense - Artificial
Hi everyone, It has been a while since I've been around here at this forum, therefore I would like to start off saying that I will take the time for the days to come to listen to other people's tracks and share my comments about them. 'Artificial' is the name of my new track and the idea behind it w...

Re: TektraSense - Revival
Yes, it's very helpful, your clear explanation changed my perspective on arrangement for the better and I will get back to it and read it again when I'm about to arrange my next track, thanks for that. But I come from a Dj background so I already kind of knew my arrangement of this track was too lon...

Thanks man!
I think the modulation of the synth is the main thing which has to be done better...
Will remember that for future tracks.

Re: dubdub - more dreamy banging dubtech I guess?
I don't know what your mixing vision was for this track, but I think it's a matter of having well balanced volume levels rather than a frequency range that's lacking. I think your chords are very beautiful, but maybe a bit too loud. Perhaps you should start your mix from the kick and bass, then your...

Re: TektraSense - Revival
Yeah, only the highs are panned out more and since that's the range where there's still room for an extra synth like you've said, the stereo field is lacking width overall. Thanks for pointing that out!

Re: TektraSense - Revival
I understand you guys on the synth part. My first intention was to have sections without the synth, but then the groove really disappears, leaving a hole in the rhythm giving a very obvious start/stop vibe. I didn't want to change the kick pattern to fill that space nor did I want to use another sou...

TektraSense - Revival
Hi everyone! I'm glad to say I've finished another track! Really enjoyed making this one since I've improved my workflow, having shorter mixing sessions and keeping technical stuff separate from creative flow really makes me finish tracks. Arranging them is the hardest part for the moment, but it he...
