Trigger Finger Pro
Think this is looking quite tasty. Like the step sequencer. Would massively speed things up - quickly programme in a straight beat on the step sequencer than play in some more swung stuff from the pads.

Re: dj's complaining
I couldn't care less about people complaining about travelling. Its multimillionaire wankers whining about how terrible their lives are and verbally shitting on the rest of us. I hope Scuba chokes on his next horseradish ice cream, and there's a special place in hell reserved for Seth Troxler for at...

Re: dj's complaining
Why I hate 'DJ culture'. Decadent, hedonistic bourgeois world these jet-setting DJs inhabit. Would always take a small-scale event someone's put on in a dingy basement or old building with just a few people over paying to hear any of that lot play in a club.
Re: Tinnitus
I find headphones more fatiguing than speakers, even if I'm listening quietly. You have to put more work into listening on headphones as they don't provide us with a natural soundstage.

Re: How to make a . track...
I've seen some Future Music videos by established producers that haven't been a whole lot better, and have left me feeling completely underwhelmed. Still, that video is wank.

Re: How to make a . track...
. released a load of live packs a while back: https://www.ableton.com/en/blog/./ came across some helpful techniques going through them, but wasn't impressed overall, most of them felt like they were thrown together in no time.

Re: Bussing / Mix advice
Cheers, is helpful. When I wish I had a bit more formal training really... It is a mess as its just techniques I've picked up from all over the internet without knowing too much about the underlying theory. Another question though: Is there an advantage to bouncing midi tracks to audio before sendin...

Re: Bussing / Mix advice
I've found that now I've started using parallel compression it has really messed up my system of bussing drum parts together. If I just have parallel compression on the kick then it has to be kept separate from the other elements and I then find it hard to gel them in the mix - I can't send a p-comp...

Can get some decent bass sounds out of it but its just hit and hope patch editing for me with that interface. Still, that randomness can be good sometimes.

Re: New members say hello...
Rob, northerner, exiled in the West Midlands (UK). Been lurking on here on and off for a while now, finally registered. Spent years messing around with softsynths and drum machines, but never made it out of Ableton's session view... my saves folder is an endless graveyard of short loops and nothing ...
