Re: Techno Music Production Videos (Please post YT links etc

Mr Bill's tutorials are really good. He's the fastest producer on Ableton I have ever seen. Definitely worth checking out

Re: Track delay in ableton

Totally agree Steve, it's a lazy way (my way)... and thanks for your insights on grooves and variations. This applying a certain groove to most of the percussion is something I'll keep in mind. Although I've been using the groove pool in most of my work I have never really put it on more than let's ...

Re: Track delay in ableton

Isn't the 'feel' of the kick a groove in its own way ? I understand that this isn't the same as a live drummer or manually drawn notes (out of grid), but then again we use machines and computers. Like I said before, wouldn't want to use it all the time but sometimes it comes in handy

Track delay in ableton

Hey guys, a while back I was searching the net for info on grooves, swing, timing, etc....I came across Olav Basoski's website where he stated that the order of tracks in your sequencer affects the groove of the entire song. He said this was down to the fact that your midi interface can only send one ...

Re: Stillwell and Schwa effects

I think it is probably closer to a distressor than a 1176. But the speed of the thing, if you go really wacky with the attack and the release, it can be so transformative, the output gain can be quite gnarly too. I have a lovely trick with it for ambience, having some very dynamic ambience with lots...

Re: Stillwell and Schwa effects

Bought the Rocket just a few days ago (together with Pro Q and Toraverb), I really like it, sounds so different to the other (soft)compressors I've used in the past. Searched for some reviews on the rocket and one stated that its sound is similar to an empirical labs distressor....
