Such short clips don't tell you enough about a song. I like the way Bleep does it, where you get like minute clips but can skip through the entire track and hear the entire thing. Hearing the whole track is super important especially if you're buying vinyl.

i like glitchmachines as well. What I really love to use to make crazy shit though is some of the reaktor noise generators, recording them down to audio files, then throwing them into granulator ii and tweaking the shit out of it.

It just takes practice. There is usually one rhythmic element you can hang your hat on for the mix, it just requires you not always relying on the 4/4 kick drum every time.
