Re: Windows Cunty 10
I jumped to Win 10 when I got my new computer at Christmas time. Absolutely rock solid. No probs with any of my music/DJ stuff so far (although, to be honest, I haven't reinstalled everything yet and I've heard some people have had issues with various plug ins.) Only two issues I've had music-wise w...

Re: Do you still go to techno nights?
It has to be something special, and the team have to be up for it but generally not so much these days. Also find I dislike crowds even more than I used to. Got a thing about crowds. They can really freak me out if I'm not 100% into the night.

Re: DJs who unexpectedly blew you away
Saw Intergalactic Gary last weekend at an instore at Rubadub for RSD. Had heard a couple of sets by him in the past, and although I thought he was alright I hadn't been blown away.
He was brilliant. Played a great set. Totally rocking even though it was mid afternoon on a Saturday.

Re: Teenage me hated it, adult me loves it
Pump up the jam by technotronic was around when I first started getting into techno and at the time I hated it for the simple reason that it achieved commercial success but the adult me can see past those "teenager wanting to be cool" prejudices and I've got to say I really dig it...such a great tr...

Re: I hate the fucking Chowder Room.
I'm turning 35 next year and I still go out a lot of concerts and techno party's. Over here (Berlin) you just have to know the right places so you don't end up in a club with 20 year old kids. I went along to the Subclub back in the spring to see Anthony Naples when he was doing Numbers. It was a g...

Re: I hate the fucking Chowder Room.
You get older, you pick the nights more than you used to. I probably appreciate them more than I used to as well. Saw MMM a few weeks ago - they were fucking class. I'll probably go and see Levon Vincent in a couple of weeks. UR are playing the night after but I blew the chance to get tickets for th...

Re: I hate the fucking Chowder Room.
Last Boiler Room I checked out was years ago by DJ EZ. That one was awesome. Even longer ago I really enjoyed a Surgeon set and a Blawan one. I never really fan boy'd over it though. I don't really like listening to DJ mixes though. I just about tolerate my own sets that I record for the car. I agr...

Re: I hate the fucking Boiler Room.
Yup, I was around in 91 as well. I'm hearing some absolutely mental stuff these days. In fact, I think some of the stuff around just now is as good as it's ever been, If not better. Agree totally, we suffer a little from too much supply, over saturation, so things get lost. People forget how much u...

Re: First Techno CD and/or Record/Track you ever bought
I dunno about mix CDs but the first techno vinyl I bought was something acidy. Going into Eastern Bloc in Manchester and asking for 'something that sounds like Eat Static' and ending up with a load of Stay Up Forever and Cluster. Blew my 16 year old mind :-) Mix CDs? What about mix tapes? I think t...

Lol. You know what? I can't even remember now. I think It was Underground Resistance's Revolution For Change Compilation. That was definitely the first piece of techno vinyl I ever bought. . That is a fantastic piece of wax, had a massive effect on me... 1991 - 1992 ish... if memory serves me. I wa...
