Jordan - March
Aight.... Some simple techno for you all to listen and critique. It's not subtle or complicated. Based around a lead and a climax. Hope it's not too cheesy. Please, any and all comments welcome. https://soundcloud.com/jordanneke/march-no-strings-attached?si=5a671baf10a5421fa00dfa06ca17001d&utm_sourc...

Re: Chabo - Funktion
It's well produced. I find the riff got a bit tiring after a while. I maybe would arrange it slightly differently by taking out the riff then having it re-introduce.

Re: Jordan - Some house type shit
Thanks to the two of you. @Speen, I tried to add a melodic element, but the synth takes up too much room when the filter is opened, so nothing else can fit, not even another string pattern. @Amobe, thanks for the compliment, although I've heard of Perlon, I couldn't name anything on the label. By th...

Re: tvsky - overtone
Ok, finally listened on my studio headphones. As I suspected, it's too saturated (for my tastes) and lost some the the dynamics and range. For example when the rides come in at about 2 mins, I have to struggle to hear them as they are swamped; They have lost their crisp ring. The track is quite tiri...

Re: Old School sets not in techno
I guess what it is for me is that Drum n Bass/ Garage/Grime/Drill moved on massively in a short amount of time, so taking Jungle for example, you can clearly hear the difference every year. A 94 tune doesn't sound like a 93 or 95 tune. The music moved on so quickly and took different elements in. So...

Old School sets not in techno
Yo peeps, I was wondering about the proliferation of old school sets in other genres, eg Drum n Bass, Garage, Grime etc… and why this is not a thing in techno. I listen to lots of old school jungle, lots of the raves that I wish I went to as a kid, lots of the tunes that bring back a heavy dose of n...

Didn’t think you’d be that positive about it!

Re: tvsky - overtone
It’s pounding for sure.
I have a suspicion that the mix is too saturated and is suffering a bit from that.
I’ll have a better idea when I am able to listen over the studio phones

Re: spayne - floated
Yeah, if you could get the mix fixed, this would be a real quality track.
The bassline takes up too much room and is a bit dense.
This is class. Well done.

Re: The Bicameral Mind
Yo! It sounds well produced to me, I am listening on head phones and the only thing that struck me is that the vocal could be cleaned up a bit in terms of frequencies. I think it takes up too much room, but you really struggle to actually understand what it says. Maybe tone down the processing, let ...

Jordan - Some house type shit
Yo yo,
I’ve been working on this for way too long.
Half the time I listen to it I think ‘yeah, it’s ok’, the other half I think ‘simple and cheesy as fuck’.
Any thoughts?

Re: Energy shite
This is fucked. Energy bill went up from 180 a month to 600. At this rate it’ll be cheaper to buy a kilo of coke, snort it and generate body heat that way. I was thinking about chopping up and burning politicians to keep warm. Mate, they have colder blood than a snake on Hoth. Burning them may actu...

Re: British Drama
This is like an 8 year burning slow-motion oil tanker crash, that can be seen for miles around due to the masses of black thick smoke that has been leaking from the sinking tanker. Combined with people on-board shouting 'WE ARE CRASHING AND BURNING AND EVERYTHING'S FUCKED'.

Re: Have Steve and Mlstwe stopped crying yet?
I commented with incredulity that the queue to see a box was 11 hours...A woman at work got offended and told me 'HAVE SOME RESPECT!'... I'm not even in the fucking UK I was in genuine shock... Fuck that shit...Last I checked the Aristocracy didn't have much respect for its black subjects. Fuck this...
