Re: Mix bus EQ/processing best practices

But to set an EQ curve and then mix into it.... It makes no sense at all. It works well for me. 99% of mixes benefit from air band, and a bump in the subs at 61-62hz. I would always be adding it at the end anyhow, so I'm just doing the other way round. Obvs we're not talking about some over fried s...

I've literally never heard of anyone doing it, and I can't understand why you would.
Ok. You realize that kinda makes me want to do it even more hahahahaha. Seriously though seems to work for me, probably my ears like the bumps there, personal thing, mix still sounds good with out it too.

Re: Eating well

It would be good to know if this is the case, possibly just that food on an industrial scale is cheap... This is indeed an interesting subject. I'm no organic farmer but I do not think the production costs are that much higher actually, rather its the limited distribution they have, and lack of acc...

Re: Eating well

That sounds quite amazing - i have read a lot of criticism about the diet, but the friends I have, who follows it, have been really happy and had results in the same vein as you. EDIT: granola bar is the perfect way to cope with initial exhaustion  Yes there are, mainly people talking about ch...

Re: Mix bus EQ/processing best practices

Not really, lots of people mix into a chain, EQ is usually part of that. In the end as you know, if it sounds good it is good. Everything else is secondary.

Re: Eating well

I've been doing Keto for the last two years, for 10 months of the year approximately, I stop only on when vacation and during the holidays etc. It's by far the best fucking thing I've ever done health wise. The benefits are just incredible, asides form losing 15kg and keeping it off. Energy levels, ...

You set an EQ shape and mix into it?

Pretty much yeah, often its by "accident" as I forget to turn it off when I start a project... again we're not talking radical boosts. Maag EQ.

Re: Mix bus EQ/processing best practices

I don't advocate EQ on the master bus. To me, its basically means you have failed to mix correctly, Just to add my 2db to this, I disagree. BUT... obviously doing any kind of corrective EQ on the mix buss is a no no. However I have EQ on my mix buss chain that I mix into it, along with console and ...

There`s already the ISLA S2400 and Rossum SP1200

I did consider getting one, they sound fantastic.
Very pricey tho

Aye, the ISLA for some reason doesn't attract me. Price is indeed the issue, I'm sure the GS one will NOT be cheap... but damn its sexy.

Well this is the new gear thread now... Woohoo. Fuck drums machines 😀 Hahaha well I do like the LXR its been on my list too... went for the Polyend instead. Super fun machine to compose on, very frustrating in other respects, like exporting audio, but still enjoying it. Also got a pair of Numann ND...

Re: Tune Drums with scales?

Never really got the whole obsession with tuning your drums, obvs I tried it back in my early days. The results never quit seemed as interesting and organic as just going by ear. I think Psy Trans maybe the one genre where it is common though.
