Every daw must have a stock EQ with mid side functionality I imagine. Just low cut the side. Ableton has 'Utility' with a bass mono button. Seems a waste for something so simple to have to have some specific 3rd party plugin to do it.

Sounds like you're working your way into paralysis. Just as you do with tracks do with your aliases. Prune and be critical to which ones demand your full attention. If you have fans they will wait.

Is clock source on unit set to Audio in?

That looks right to me in the Ableton setup. I have an RME interface so not sure how your card software works but in Total mix I can see the channel audio the plugin is sending out the channel. Maybe thats your issue? BTW...when I hit play in Ableton the light on the right side flashes red. Good luc...
