Re: Field(recording)trip tips
I do sample YouTube strange videos. Ok, I did some recordings, but tbh I never used them (lost SD card with everything). I enjoyed the heck out of it though. My favourite was bowing rusty wire on fence with as hoc bow made out of branch and my leather belt that I soaked in a puddle. Proper odd sound...

Re: Tips for filling out tracks without adding reverb or additional elements?
Random bandpassed noise with Sidechain compression filles gaps as well, but only in small doses. Automated volume to fade in an out.
But what people said before: distortion/saturation.
Reverb is for begginers

Re: [Production] Share One Idea From Today.
Created tons of cool sounds with feeding back signal via returns in Ableton. Just stock FX, but heaps of fun. Pretty much generated all sounds for a track with kick and hihats, just resampling all those weird sounds coming out of returns, chop them up or just load them to sampler. Made a tune withou...

Re: ASK US ANYTHING [NO SUBJECT IS STUPID / ALL QUESTIONS WELCOMED]
I have experiences with couple of controllers and I have to say that Push2 is the best one I have got my hands on. Not only it's kinda sturdy, but having that hiuuuge screen makes a ton of difference. I use it for live situations and a bunch in a studio these days. Really game changer I terms of pro...

Re: ASK US ANYTHING [NO SUBJECT IS STUPID / ALL QUESTIONS WELCOMED]
I want to learn more about music theory but don’t want a course that is centred around pop, trance, trap etc.. Something useful to us technoheads. Any suggestions? Pick random note. Play it. Then move your finger to right and start counting. If you count to seven, stop and play that note as well. S...

Re: Arrangement Warz
Yeah, i know exactly what you're referring to. As I enjoy making beats and themes as next person, watching KSHMR speaking about this same thing made me realize I'm guilty of pressing "new project button" more often then finishing tunes. His approach was to convince brain that this is fun as well. I ...

Re: ASK US ANYTHING [NO SUBJECT IS STUPID / ALL QUESTIONS WELCOMED]
How do you approach a moment when you find multiple sounds (be it synths or samples) that sounds good together, but mixwise it's crap? I found out recently that I spend more and more time fixing things and trying to make things "work" in mixdown, but as I sometimes remove more and more elements, it ...

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCK7cWGWuiVwcUPQLW-vhslw Maybe someone already mentioned this one, but it's completely new to me.. Stumbled upon this guy yesterday as I was looking for way how others approach mixing kick and bass... ... When I got over his accent, I realised how good it is. Basicall...

Re: Sound Design streams against isolation
I still have that original one saved as "rtick kick destroyer" 😄 I'm looking forward to check out new version, last one really opened my eyes in terms of using (or abusing, hehe) distortion and how tiny bits stack up towards bigger goal. And probably longest chain I've ever seen 😄 Although, I've bee...

Re: Volume Buddy 2 - automatic LUFS matching in one instance (M4L)
I have it a go week ago. Really proves a point on how important it is to watch levels while tweaking (something I noticed before I saw someone speaking about how louder sounds are perceived as better). It's kind of "anti-silver" bullet as it shows changes and colouring pretty much transparently. Som...

Re: I really liked arturia products but...
Consider yourself lucky, I just get the "cardinal sin of EDM" all the bloody time. Hahahaha, I torrented that Masterclass to see if it worth. Saw couple of videos, mostly mediocre but sprinkled with some practical advices here and there. I don't like his music or his lifestyle, but guy knows a way ...

Re: I really liked arturia products but...
There's no way around it. I've been there with Native Instruments I've been there with Waves I've been there with Arturia I own products of each company above, but I still had to watch their crappy ads. I've been bombarded by stuff from Output and a couple of other companies. TBH, I've installed ext...

Although I have Spring reverb futon SoftTube, I quite adore Modnetic reverb. Esp. because it's paid with take delay.

Re: Show us your kickdrums - 2020
Raising my hand as overthinker when it comes to kicks as well. Way too overprocessed, but I found out recently that less is more and bussing is more important when it comes down making it 'stick' or glue with the rest of the song. I mean, I'm sorta ok with making kicks, but then making them work wit...

Re: Fucked-Up Noisy HW Synth With Cool Modz _ Recommendations?
Leploop is known here for three reasons: 1.) Mad good sound. Hands down, that filter is just one of the best I heard from analog land 2.) Mad crazy to programme. That interface is just nightmare to operate. God bless your soul if you think 303 is hard to operate and you choose this instead. 3.) Anto...

I'd love one that's foldable for gigs, just for sale of convenience. It actually came here to share this: Here in Czech, vietnamese people are selling knockoffs for cheap. Once I was this hoodie with some cool popculture graphics scattered over it. On the sleeve, there was a bottle with text ABSOLUT...
