Korg Modwave

This thing passed me by, as I bought a Modal Argon8 a few years ago (which didn't work out) plus I thought the Opsix was the more interesting of the 3 new synths that korg introduced back then. However, I'm back interested in wavetable again and have been giving this thing a closer look. Holy crap d...

He seems humble, relatable and with a hint of humour always bubbling under the surface. I wish Juan came across better, but he often ...

Someone on an other forum said he died of fetanyl, supposedly sold as heroin
I read that three of them were found in a house in California, the other two being his girlfriend and his musical/business partner. Given their relatively young ages it would not be a surprise if drugs were involved.

Re: Slam remix competition

I'm wondering: If you add so much of your own elements that the original is barely even noticeable, is it still a remix? I've heard plenty of released remixes over the years that you wouldn't recognise anything from the original. It bugged me for a while but sometimes you just have to let go of thi...

Re: Slam remix competition

Yeah that's the problem for anyone entering this competition, I would bet money that if the entry doesn't fit into the 'business techno' mold, it won't win.

Slam remix competition

Thought this might be of interest to some. Attention producers! To celebrate the new “Exhibit” trilogy project, which aims to spotlight Slam's favourite emerging artists, we have decided to hold a remix competition! We are giving the next generation of producers the opportunity to remix Slam's "Exhi...

Thanks! This is what I like :)
There's a bunch of sets from the closing parties on youtube, just search 'Tresor closing 2005'. Steve Bicknell, Chris Liebing, DJ Rush, Joey Beltram, Paul Kalkbrenner...... there's a few I like but the Alan Oldham one is doing it for me right now.

Re: Contacting record labels

Is it a bad idea to do this when your tracks aren't 100% finished yet? Depends on what you mean by 'unfinished'? If they're still being written or arranged then I would say you're jumping the gun, but if they only need mastering then I think it would be fine - some labels like their releases to be ...

Different moods indeed, but to me those three tracks have enough of your signature sound and style to not clash that much with each other.
I agree with this.
