Re: Distortion pedals
ive got a filterbank, a brenell mark 5 60's preamp, cheap chinese little bear units, a "you dirty rat", a great destroyer and the thing i like the most is the distortion from the machinedrum compressor. I recently picked up a used "You Dirty Rat" hoping it lived up to the OG RAT... don't bother, it...

Re: Prepping for a live set
I picked up this mastering processor for live use. The can be had for ~$100-150 USD used. EQs, compression, limiter, exciter, etc.. MIDI controllable if you need to change settings throughout your set. hthttp://www.music-group.com/Categories/Behringer/Signal-Processors/Equalizers/DEQ2496/p/P0146 Ano...

Re: ASIO vs ASIO4ALL
You should be able to share a single interface for both Ableton and Windows simultaneously. You need to check your drivers and audio settings. AISO4ALL is meant to aggregate two or more AISO devices/drivers into one virtual device. It don't think it will help with device exclusivity, unless it's a d...
Re: MODEL 1
I'd love to have one for my hybrid live sets, but I just couldn't justify the $3,400 USD. I never played on one, but I setup an ableton rack and controller to duplicate the functionally to get a feel for it. Re: Ableton 10
Is there any autosave? To multiple copies maybe? No auto save that I've seen, but I think the new backup feature is even better... Every time you save, a backup file is created, up to 10 backup files are maintained! Undo history is no longer cleared at save which was a big pain point for me. I was ...

Re: Ableton 10
They addressed every complaint and every major feature request I have with the current version. I'm beyond excited for this. My only complaint is that I have to wait 2+ months to get my hands on it! I'm a Push 2 user and the new device visualizations and split melodic sequencer * key pads are a drea...

Re: Whats you favourite Max for Live devices?
LFO Tool is included in one of the freely available M4L packs for Live Suite. Modulate ANY mapable parameter anywhere in live. I use this on everything.
Convolution Reverb is pretty damn good too.
I get a lot of mileage from Dub Machines, a really cool RE-201 Space Echo emulation.
