Re: What's up with porc?
Is there a reason for trolling my post? If you really don't think it's an issue that is fine, but I wasn't trying to be aggressive or anything, just offer what I thought was constructive feedback.

Re: What's up with porc?
It happened on one of my responses and confused me. I guess if it's a few I can deal with it, but P E R C is a pretty fundamental word I expect to be used a lot on feedback channels. I guess I may be making a bigger deal of it than I need to, just wouldn't want for this to set a precedent where late...

Re: White noise on tracks
I find that the noise makes an interesting texture, there are a lot of songs that I love that use it, it really carries the song quite well when your drop out certain elements to create a build. I personally use some combination of tape hiss and Ableton's vinyl hiss effect with a bit of side-chainin...

Re: What's up with porc?
Is there any way we can remove these auto-changes from the feedback threads? They're fine and all in the dialog sections but it does obfuscate what people are trying to get across in unexpected ways when trying to give constructive feedback

Re: [FTM003] Abyss Divide - Cubes of Abyss
I like it well enough, the sinister saws are a pretty good payoff though I don't think the synth that comes in after the break quite adds to the second payoff. 11 minutes is a tad on the long side considering the progression happens fairly quickly (about half that time) and few new elements are intr...

Re: Hanos- P-7
Sounds good to my ear, I would add a bit more modulation to the pad / synth that pervades through the beginning of the track. Doesn't need to be anything big but it is a fairly major element in the track so some variation on it would be cool.

Re: ***Subsekt: The Label -- Invites to participate***
I'm also a bit late but would likewise love to contribute. I work in music-tech and would love to get a first hand glance at how a label operates, hopefully even take that into work one day and build some cool tools for the music industry. Happy to contribute in whatever way the more experienced fol...

Re: apophysis and catharsis - Liveset
I actually really dig the fact that it is not driving, it can be remarkably hard to find this kind of downbeat and dark stuff sometimes.
Really enjoying it so far, about 10m in.
Edit: Are these fragments of your tracks? I dig the sounds

While I wouldn't use this in my productions necessarily, I do have the Push and it feels like it could be a ton of fun to smoke a joint and jam out with this.

Re: dubdub - DNB/jungle experiment I
The drum samples are sick. Definitely feels repetitive, would be cool to switch up the drum patterns a bit. Don't have too much experience with this genre otherwise so it sounds good to me.

Re: Bind
Like it, the only comment I have is that the track feels pretty centered, I would abuse the panning a bit more on some of the higher elements. Progression is really good but I would maybe consider putting in some break in the middle, or as was pointed out, introduce the payoff earlier and begin mixi...

Re: Any Bazzism Users?
pafavag I don't really design kicks in Bazzism but to the point of that article it adds an extra oomph at the end that I can highly recommend. The kicks I use will be either samples or field recordings that I've processed but Bazzism is capable of generating a very powerful and cutting low end that ...

Re: Any Bazzism Users?
Right yeah, so what I was after was basically fEnd. I.E. a MIDI note C0 should play back the plug-in with all parameters as they are set and override fEnd to C0. Interesting, that is the article I've read, but I can see what you mean now, I guess I was overly excited about generating that clean drum...

Re: Any Bazzism Users?
That's interesting, I actually didn't know that, do you have the link to that comment somewhere maybe? Would love to read up on that. Yeah I tried what you have said and it seems to work, but at the end of the day it too comes with some limitations, as there are other parameters you may / may not wa...

Any Bazzism Users?
I'm a huge fan of BazzISM ever since I realized that was the sound I've loved for so long in early Tommy Four Seven. One of the limitations I've found in my own productions though is that you have to spin up a new instance if you have differently kicked tunes in the C0-F1 range instead of just being...

Re: This sold me on Bitwig
Someone recently recommended this to me as well, and honestly I'm running out of reasons not to give it a shot. Apparently a lot of the devs are former Ableton employees as well. I think what ends up happening is over years of maintaining something like Ableton, you just kind of keep tacking on new ...
