I think it's just someone getting funky with the pitch bend knob. Growing up I watched my jazz musician buddy do crazy shit with those things. Theres some vibrato that could be from the pitch bend knob or also from a delayed LFO, but prob just the pb in this context.

If your audio interface had an ADAT or SPDIF connection you could get one of these (link below) so that you can multitrack into your daw without dealing with a mixer with just stereo outs. I think a quick tip would be to experiment with a delay when you are struggling to find the right reverb or vice versa. Looking forward to hear what other techniques people have.
