Re: dubdub - 1049

Wow dubdub, this really feels like a progressive track that I can get around.
The kick drum keeps this thing moving so nicely, so I wish you didn't take it fully out at 215.
The percussion would be nice if it evolved a little bit but the synth line is perfect.

The sound design is lovely.
You have really managed to capture that hypnotic nature of techno, especially with your use of dynamics.

Re: Amøbe - Condensation

This track really has a strong base with that kick drum dominating the whole bottom end. I do think that your percussion is a little to wet for my liking, I wish it was a little more present in the mix. Also a bit more variation in the actual percussion might help as well. Great work. I wish I could...

Re: Suppressor - Joaquin

Awesome, Thanks for the advice guys, I'll go back and have another look at the finer details of the track. I have left the ending a little longer to help with mixing into other tracks but I think I could shorten in places. I will also have a play with the amount of verb and effects on things, but I ...

Re: Fog Capture - Aeon

I'm just listening to this on my laptop speakers so I will comment on the general energy.

I am a huge fan of Trentemoller and you do a pretty good job creating that tone, I can also hear shades of Four Tet in this track, especially with the rhythms.

Suppressor - Joaquin

Me and a few other producers have written some tracks that we are going to release free on Bandcamp this month.

Planning on getting this one mastered pretty soon.

Both tracks so far are awesome. I think Precon would sound great with a master though.

Yeah digging it. I agree with it being hypnotic. I'm wondering if you should maybe build a bigger crescendo around 3:36? It doesn't seem to make a big enough impact to go back to the same melody.

Re: Anybody else here have a dedicated kick synth?

I brought the Punchbox VST and it was one of the best decisions i have made.

I have only got into the factory stuff so far but it is all I have needed to up the quality of the kick drums in my tracks.

Re: Thoughts about Psy-trance genres

So i'm not sure if you guys have heard of Rainbow Serpent held in Victoria, Australia? Its a combination of doof Techno and Psy-trance, the two actually go together pretty well. Although i spend most of my time at the Techno stages there are always a few gem artists that manage to do something diffe...

Re: Subsekt member mix 2017/2018 ---- Closed

Sorry I didn't submit Planar, I'm glad you received more than enough music eventually! I had three tracks slowly progressing but I hit a creative brick wall towards the end of November, then work and general life really took over the Christmas / New Year period so I barely fired up the DAW for a mo...

Favourite Techno Moments/Tracks 2017

I'm gonna make a mix of my favourite Techno tracks of 2017 and wondered what people thought of this year in the world of Techno. One standout moment was when DAX J nearly got sent to jail for playing prayer music in his set. Also a couple of tracks that i really enjoyed as well I know its DC but man...
